TRI-EFT with SacD-EFT present the:
EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) 4-Day Externship ®
Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples
May 15-18, 2018
An approach to Couple's Therapy that offers effective help and support to couples facing relational distress.
Dr. Sue Johnson pioneered Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, a therapy that is rigorously researched and based upon a science of adult love and attachment.
EFT recognizes that relational discord arises from the threat to basic adult needs for safety, security and closeness in intimate relationships.
The EFT change process has been mapped into a systematic sequence and framework that restructures the interactional patterns that maintain couple conflict. This structure reliably provides romantic partners witha safe and effective path for long term relational healing.
The EFT Externship is the initial training required for all subsequent EFT trainings. It is a 4 day immersion in the Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy model developed by Sue Johnson. The steps and stages of the model, specific interventions, attachment theory, emotional process and access, systemic interventions and much, much more will be covered.
In this Externship, you will learn to:
- see marital distress from an attachment perspective
- help partners reprocess the emotional responses that maintain marital distress
- shape key new interaction and bonding events and overcome therapeutic impasses.
You will also see EFT in action during live consultation sessions with real couples. The live sessions are always a big highlight. 24 CE Credits.
